Simultaneous interpreting

Real-time translation, no pauses. Ideal for congresses, conferences and large audiences.

Do you need your speaker to talk and the audience to hear the translation at the same time, with no pauses? Then you need simultaneous interpreting — in Barcelona or internationally.

In simultaneous interpreting, I work from a soundproof booth while the speaker talks, and the audience listens to the translation in real time through headsets. Given the concentration this format demands, sessions longer than an hour require a team of two interpreters taking turns every 20-30 minutes — the standard set out in ISO 2603, which I follow.

When a physical booth isn't possible — factory visits, walking tours, small meetings in tight rooms — there's an alternative: a portable system ("infoport"), which allows simultaneous interpreting without a booth, so the event flows without noticeable pauses, as if everyone spoke the same language.

Is your event online or hybrid? Remote interpreting (RSI) achieves the same result without travel or a physical booth.
